Confirmed public-branch highlight
Patch 0.21.720 added Kentrosaurus to the Evrima public branch. The official highlight list documents a charged power swing, a combined-input power swing, passive reflection damage from tail or shoulder spikes, and a defensive stance toggled with Ctrl.
While in that defensive stance, the announcement says Kentrosaurus gains stronger reflection damage and stability and can block certain abilities when those abilities connect with its spikes. LMB (left mouse button) performs the defensive tail attack in that state.
What changes in an encounter
Kentrosaurus punishes careless contact more directly than a conventional chase target. The important question is not only whether you can reach it; it is which part of its body you will touch and whether your exit crosses the spike arc.
For Kentrosaurus, a defensive posture buys information. It lets the player face pressure, threaten the approach, and wait for a poor commitment instead of spending stamina on every feint.
What to relearn
- Attackers should stop treating the tail side as free pressure.
- Hold RMB means keep the right mouse button pressed to prepare the charged action.
- Hold RMB + LMB means continue holding the right mouse button, then press the left mouse button to perform the documented power swing.
- Kentrosaurus players should practise entering and leaving Defensive Stance outside combat.
Guide changes
Kentrosaurus now has a full Live dossier, a plain-language controls section, defensive-route advice, and a tier placement based on broad survival control rather than a promise that it wins every duel.
