Confirmed public-branch highlights
Patch 0.21.772 moved to the Evrima public branch in August 2026. The official announcement highlights Austroraptor as a new playable and documents its first public controls:
- RMB (right mouse button): pounce.
- Spacebar while swimming at the surface: jump out of the water.
- G during the day: enter a spearfishing stance similar in purpose to Pteranodon's fishing action.
- Additional mangrove terrain, skin patterns, and palettes were also included.

What changes in the field
Austroraptor connects shoreline movement, swimming, pounce pressure, and daytime fishing. That makes shallow water and mangrove approaches more active than they were under the previous roster. Players should now check both the bank and the water-facing escape line before committing to a drink or crossing.
Early popularity also distorts encounter frequency. Seeing many Austroraptors immediately after release does not prove a stable tier placement; it first proves that players are learning the new creature.
What to relearn
- Treat mangrove and shoreline cover as a two-direction threat space.
- Do not read RMB as an unexplained label: it means the right mouse button and activates pounce for Austroraptor.
- Remember that spearfishing is documented as a daytime action.
- Recheck follow-up hotfixes before relying on exact damage, stamina, or matchup claims.
Guide changes
The creature index now marks Austroraptor Live, includes a plain-language input guide, and keeps its tier placement provisional. The Gateway explorer also exposes mangrove and water-route context without pretending the map itself guarantees a safe line.
